Live Virtual Open Houses and Recorded Property Videos ARE NOT the same!

Going Live: Virtual Open Houses
Note From Lee:
At BHHS EWM Realty, we have created a special site (EWMOpenHouses.com) that will showcase your Virtual Open Houses that are either Live at the moment, or upcoming. Users can add upcoming open houses to their calendars, and will receive a reminder with the link to your Facebook, Instagram or YouTube where you will be live. The “Open Houses” link on ewm.com will be changed to “Virtual Open Houses” and also help direct traffic to the site:
It hasn’t been common practice to enter Virtual Open Houses into the MLS, but this simple task will help showcase your virtual open house across dozens of sites that are accepting links for virtual opens. (Click the image below to download an instructional guide on how to enter a Virtual Open House in the MLS.)
Simply entering your Virtual Open House DATE and LINK into the MLS now gives you plenty of outlets to help you spread the word!
We will be giving you marketing materials that you can share on your social media pages and email to customers to promote the site. However, I still recommend sharing your emails and social media posts with your sphere that promote your specific Virtual Open House. At a brokerage level, we will be doing a special digital campaign to drive traffic and promote more awareness of your opens.
If you are hosting an open house Friday, Saturday, or Sunday of this week, please enter them into the MLS today to make sure they are promoted.
This is a great opportunity to connect and engage with customers and promote more business for yourself. So many of you have already had amazing and positive engagements that have come out of some of the Virtual Open Houses you have already been hosting. I look forward to seeing those engagements continue to grow!
Only Facebook, Instagram and YouTube live stream links will be allowed on EWMOpenHouses.com. This new site is designed to act as a portal for potential customers to access genuine live virtual open houses, and the links you are allowed to go live from (Facebook, Instagram & YouTube) are being restricted to ensure that the experience on the site is in line with consumer expectations.
The earlier you enter your Virtual Open House into the MLS, the more exposure time you will receive on the site. Be sure to enter your Virtual Open Houses on the MLS as soon as you have them confirmed.
See you at the opens…virtually! Good luck!
Recorded Property Videos:
If you have videos you would like to share, please make sure the direct link is entered into your Listing Manager on EWMRealtors.com so your listing can be searchable on EWMVideoTours.com, which is the site we have designated specifically for the purpose of showcasing video tours.
REMEMBER: Live Virtual Open Houses and Property Videos are not the same.
Upload the saved video to YouTube. Then, copy the YouTube link to the video and paste it into the YouTube link field in the Listing Manager on myEWM.com. It will then show up on BHHS EWM Realty’s new Virtual Collection website (ewmvideotours.com – button below my how-to) video) where customers can browse our listings that have property videos and request virtual showings.
EWMVideoTours.com now accepts Matterport Tours! If you have a Matterport Tour you would like to showcase, enter the direct link in place of the YouTube link you would put in the Listing Manager on myEWM.com. Please allow 24 hours for your listing to appear on EWMVideoTours.com.
In this short tutorial, you will learn how to take a property video you uploaded to YouTube.com and add the video link to your Listing Manager on myEWM.com. This way, your video will be sent out in the feed that myEWM.com provides to dozens of sites. An important thing to note is that not all sites accept video, but it is still good practice to add your YouTube video link to myEWM.com.
